I am stuck, or items have broken my run. What is documented?
Three ways to get stuck were fixed rather than worked around; the Unstuck button is a demo-only citation.
Quick answer
Update 1.0.5 closed the three documented ways to get stuck: the player can no longer spawn above the hole and fall again and again, can no longer be trapped in the spawn tube behind a pile of tools, and key items lost inside walls now respawn — with ores credited straight to the bank instead. For loose items that crash the game or make it unplayable, the same update adds a Clear Items button in the pause menu, which refunds nothing. A separate Unstuck respawn button is documented only in Demo Update V1.0.1, a demo changelog, and no cited full-release source restates it.
Steps
- Update to 1.0.5 or later first. Three stuck cases were fixed there rather than worked around, so an older build is a different problem.
- If a key item is inside a wall, check whether it has come back. Update 1.0.5 states key items should no longer be unrecoverable, and that ores are added directly to the bank rather than respawning as objects.
- If loose items are crashing the game or making it unplayable, open the pause menu and use Clear Items. It removes them and gives back no money.
- When leaving, take the Save and quit option that 1.0.5 added to the quit prompt rather than confirming the plain quit.
- If the player character itself is stuck on the current build, report the exact position. The only respawn button in the cited sources belongs to the demo.
Requirements / limits
- Every fix above is dated 22 August 2026, in Update 1.0.5.
- The Unstuck pause-menu button is documented in Demo Update V1.0.1, a demo changelog from 13 June 2026. No cited full-release source confirms it is still present, so this page does not send players looking for it.
- Clear Items explicitly does not refund money.
- Update 1.0.5 also records a small hotfix pushed after it, covering erratic Panel Rack behaviour and missing ores and pickaxe issues.
- Nothing in the cited sources describes recovering a save that is already unplayable for some other reason.
Common mistakes
- Hunting for an Unstuck button in the full release on the strength of a demo changelog.
- Expecting Clear Items to return the value of what it deletes.
- Assuming ores lost in a wall respawn as objects; the changelog says they go to the bank instead.
- Confirming the plain quit when a Save and quit option sits in the same prompt.
Still unverified
- Does the full release still have the demo's Unstuck button? Not verifiedDocumented only in Demo Update V1.0.1. No full-release announcement repeats it, and this site does not treat demo changelogs as release documentation.
