Is Phase 3 stuck, and what did the August 20 fix change?

The August 20 update removed the Phase 3 scripted event that could break an existing line.

Quick answer

Make sure Steam has applied the 20 August 2026 update. The developer removed the scripted Phase 3 event because it could damage automation setups, so current builds should no longer require that destructive event to continue.

Steps

  1. Exit the game and let Steam apply the update published on 20 August 2026.
  2. Reopen the save and continue feeding the product shown for the current phase.
  3. Use the productivity or phase display to check whether that product is increasing the current quota.
  4. If a current build still does not advance, report the save state as a bug instead of following a pre-fix rebuild guide.

Requirements / limits

  • The announcement names the date and behavior change but does not publish a numeric build number.
  • It confirms removal of the scripted event; it does not promise that every unrelated Phase 3 save issue is fixed.
  • Phase progress still depends on the phase product, as current player reports and a full progression walkthrough show.

Common mistakes

  • Following a guide recorded before 20 August and waiting for the removed event.
  • Tearing down a working automation line to reproduce the old transition.
  • Treating the 200 kg platform or fuse puzzle as the Phase 3 quota.
